Plantago major, commonly known as Plantain, is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the leaves of the Plantago major plant. Belonging to the Plantaginaceae family, it has been traditionally valued for its therapeutic properties in treating earaches and toothache conditions. In homoeopathy, Plantago major is primarily used to address conditions such as ear infections with earache, tinnitus, and insomnia cause of nicotinism. It is also employed for its effects on nervous affection, skin conditions, and urinary discomfort. The pain may be exacerbated by loud noises and can be linked to issues such as tooth decay or middle ear inflammation. Hearing Sensitivity Increased sensitivity to noise and sticking pain in the ears. Toothache Plantago is used for sore, sensitive tooth pain, especially when the pain is related to dental issues or inflammation in nearby areas like the eyelids (neuralgia). The pain may improve while eating but worsen with cold air or touch. Pyorrhea Alveolaris A condition involving inflammation and infection of the gums.
