Punarnavadi Kashayam contains Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa), Devadaru (Boerhavia diffusa), Haridra (Curcuma longa), Tikta (Swertia chirata), Patola (Tricosanthes dioica) etc—all recognized in Ayurveda for their Tikta-Kashaya rasa (bitter-astringent taste), which helps pacify Kapha and Pitta without aggravating Vata. Traditionally, this tablet is valued for promoting gentle diuretic action, aiding detoxification, and supporting kidney, liver, and respiratory wellness—including relief from mild fever, cough, and discomfort associated with fluid retention. It also supports healthy blood circulation and digestion while fostering metabolic clearance.
