Ammonium phosphoricum, or Phosphate of Ammonia, is a well-indicated medicine in patients of the uric acid diathesis, especially those suffering from chronic gout, joint nodosities, and bronchial catarrhs. It acts prominently on the joints, respiratory tract, and urinary system, and is particularly suited to those with a gouty constitution, cold sensitivity, and impaired coordination. Common Name English: Phosphate of Ammonia SBL’s Ammonium phosphoricum can be helpful in the following conditions: Gouty Diathesis and Joint Nodosities Especially indicated in chronic gouty patients. Manages nodosities on the joints of fingers and backs of hands. Helpful in cases with shoulder-joint pain and general joint discomfort. Respiratory Affections with Mucopurulent Expectoration Indicated in deep, rough cough with greenish expectoration, commonly found in chronic bronchitis or gouty bronchial irritation. Ammonium phosphoricum beneficial when there is tightness around the chest, adding to the respiratory distress. Motor Weakness and Unsteady Gait Patient presents with heaviness of the limbs, often accompanied by an unsteady, tottering gait, indicating muscular or neurological involvement. Shows marked sensitivity to cold, particularly from slight drafts of air, leading to chilliness and discomfort. Facial Paralysis and Neuralgic Affections Indicated in cases of facial paralysis, particularly when associated with gouty background or constitutional coldness. Coryza with Profuse Morning Discharge Morning sneezing, with copious nasal discharge and lachrymation, marks its action on the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. Symptoms are worse in the morning and suggestive of catarrhal states influenced by uric acid excess. Uric Acid Disturbance Urine shows rose-colored sediment, indicating uric acid crystallization.
